Get Spooked With Real-Life Ghost Stories On Halloween Night

29 Oct
One of NYC’s best-kept secrets, the Merchant’s House Museum, is the former home of merchant Seabury Tredwell. Step in and learn all about the domestic life of a wealthy merchant family between the 1835 and1865, when the city transformed from a mercantile seaport into a thriving metropolis. There’s so much history here, of course, there’s bound to be ghosts! So, get ready to get your spook on Sunday night when the museum’s official ghost storytellers will read selections from 19th-century terrifying tales. Also on tap? Real-life highlights from actual supernatural occurrences, all told in a parlor set up for a Victorian-era funeral. Let’s hope the Tredwells don’t object.

Sunday, October 31, Performances at 7 p.m. and  9 p.m.; Merchant’s House Museum, 29 East 4th Street; 212-777-1089
