Jessica Alba Is A Yummy-Mummy In Our Wide-Leg Jeans

19 Oct

We kinda think Jessica Alba is one of the coolest yummy-mummies in Hollywood. Her style is always on-trend but effortless—she pulls off the comfortable look without looking sloppy. She’s rocked our jeans to perfection before, so we weren’t surprised to see the starlet taking on the trouser trend and looking super adorable  in our Dojo wide-legs while toting around daughter Honor.  And even if you don’t have a mini-me yet, this denim number will still have passerby cooing.

7 Obsession: The Passion Dress Steals Our Hearts This Fall

18 Oct

As much as we love our jeans, it’s nice to switch up the style routine with something totally different. That’s where our new Passion dress comes in. Picking up on the cool graphic and graffiti prints that have been popping up all over the European and U.S. runways, our little wonder is just right for all the late-night gallivanting you have on the horizon. Slip it on over opaque tights with your highest platforms or a great pair of low combat boots, like our Olivia boot, and you’ll be set for the party season.

Ahoy! Pirates And More At Long Island’s Oyster Festival

15 Oct

We’ve already demonstrated our love for Lobsters, so now we’re giving their marine friends, the oysters, a little attention. This weekend, the mollusks take center stage for the Oyster Festival, the East Coast’s largest waterfront event, in downtown Oyster Bay. On tap? Live entertainment, Tall Ships, local artisans, pirate shows, rides, and, but of course, the iconic oyster eating and shucking contest. Plus, the food court will be serving dozens of unique oysters, clams and other seafood concoctions from a clutch of culinary pros. And, you can ditch the eating shame cycle at home—all of the profits from the event fund Rotary Rides, a charity that provides door-to-doctor service to disabled residents needing transportation.
Saturday October 16, and Sunday, October 17, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the website here.

Say Bonjour To Our New Paris Flagship Store!

14 Oct

Even if you don’t speak French, we don’t think you’ll say non to our second flagship store in Paris, which will be bringing some more Cali-cool to the City of Lights. If you’re on a vacay, we’re sure you’ll spot Hollywood celebs and French film stars browsing our new boutique in the trendy Saint Germain ‘hood, housed in a classic fin de siècle building. But don’t look for art nouveau interiors—the decor is all ’50s West Coast modernist, with industrial cement flooring melding seamlessly into the denim display walls, white-lacquered oak, and bronzed window frames. And, when you’re done with your Californian respite, a café au lait is just around the corner, bien sur.

Guyville: 3 Things He Can’t Live Without

13 Oct
Admit it gents: You’re still rocking that light-weight plaid shirt you bought back in May, and your shorts are still cluttering up your bureau. Well, it’s time to step up the cold-weather shopping and put that summer gear in storage. To help you get started, we’ve rounded up three items you can’t live without this fall and winter.

1. Dark Cords: We’re all about corduroy this season, and we think our Slimmy in Concrete is one of those pairs you could wear a couple times a week. They’re uber-durable, skinny without being too tight, and pretty timeless—plus that dark wash will hide any incidental stains, meaning laundry days can be few and far between.

2. The Every Occasion Blazer: This jacket will definitely take the top spot in your throw-on-over-everything section of the closet. Casual enough to layer on top of a hoodie, but elegant enough to make a quick switch to a cocktail date, versatile never looked so good.
3. The Tough Belt: When it comes to winter wear, don’t forget the small stuff. In this case, it’s time to swap the ribbon belts for something more substantive. This full grain leather belt with a tough, vintage looking brass buckle could have been raided from your grandfather’s closet…in a very good way.
