Style In The Sky

18 Oct

ImageWe were so inspired by Aimee Song’s stylish airport ensemble that we started daydreaming of sartorial ensembles for jetting to our favorite winter destinations. Because everyone knows: it’s not where you go but how you get there…and it’s always best to travel in style.

Snow Bunny

Park City, Utah is the ultimate in winter chic whether you’re hitting the slopes or mingling at Sundance film premieres. Staying comfy and warm on the plane is a must and details like leather sleeves and luxe velvet keep the look on-trend. Psst, borrowing your man’s flannel only adds to the slouchy yet cool factor. En route, we’ll be reapplying Fresh’s Sugar lip balm and keeping our skin soft with our favorite L’Occtaine lotion while watching last year’s Sundance hit, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, starring the always amazing Rooney Mara.

Urban Escape

There is nothing like autumn in New York City, between the leaves in Central Park and the infamous hot chocolate at City Bakery to cozy drinks at the latest speakeasy. It’s best to jump into a yellow cab straight from the airport and head to your first destination, so our airplane look is always edgy chic. Coated denim paired with a rockstar-worthy moto jacket works just as well for a day of shopping in Soho as it does for a concert in Brooklyn, and a dramatic eye plus Bond No.9’s city-centric scents is a must. En route, we’ll be staying in-the-know about the latest happenings with New York Magazine and watching Woody Allen’s classic Manhattan for the hundredth time.

Holiday in the Sun

Of course, the ideal escape is far, far away from the winter weather. We’re partial to Miami’s glamorous South Beach for a full-on luxury getaway that’s as fun as it is relaxing. Channel the city’s style with wild denim and sleek metallic that will take you from tropical cocktails at The Shore Club to a night on the town. En route, we’ll add a pop of color with a neon lip and curl up with the latest W to ensure we’re ahead of the trend. And don’t forget the sunscreen: cult favorite La Mer isn’t the least bit greasy.
