Cocktail Hour: The SLS Hotel does a Sexy Summer Cocktail.

10 Jul

The Bazaar_Jasmine Margarita

While there may not be actual scientific proof that cocktails taste better during the summer, we’re pretty sure most people would agree when the theory is proposed.

Happy hour, after a long day stuck in the office, is especially rewarding and we find the Jasmine Margarita at The Bazaar at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills to be the perfect start to a sexy, after-work-unwind session.

The Jasmine Margarita is bright, refreshing and beautiful to look at. We recommend drinking it rather than just gazing at it, but like many of the concoctions the SLS Hotel whips up, this one is pretty and tasty.SLS Hotel

Make your next happy hour at The SLS or try whipping up the Jasmine Margarita yourself for an at-home cocktail affair with friends.

BLACK FRIDAY SURVIVAL GUIDE

24 Nov

Black Friday is a no joke shopping day. Here are 7 simple steps to be sure you’re fully prepped.

  1. Dress Comfortably – Be on-the-go appropriate.  Trust us, don’t step out in your stilettos.  And try a crossbody bag – hands-free is key.
  2. Set A Budget – Sort of.  We believe quality trumps quantity so be open to spending more if you find top notch  favorites.
  3. Be Prepared – Set out with must-have items in mind.  We suggest selecting 3-5 key items and mapping out exactly where to go to find them.
  4. Stay Focused – Stick to your plan before getting starry–eyed by all of the  other Black Friday  allure.
  5. Bring a Friend – Let’s admit it, nothing beats a second set of eyes and a second opinion from someone you trust.
  6. Get Digital – Whether you decide to hit the streets or the computer screen, download a few apps to help you keep up to speed with Black Friday news and stay organized.
  7. Celebrate Your Success – After your long day, kick back and relax with a bottle of wine or group of friends and then get some rest.  Cyber Monday is right around the corner.

Good luck!

Salute to Summer

15 Jul

The sun is setting on summer, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time to still bask in the rays of summertime activities.  Take advantage of the warm weather by heading to the beach, hosting an outdoor cookout, or cruising down the highway with the windows down and the radio up.

We want to make sure you give your summer the ultimate sendoff.  7 For All Mankind is sending one lucky Facebook fan and a guest to San Francisco for the Outside Lands Music Festival August 12th-14th.  The trip will include two festival passes, round-trip airfare, 3 nights hotel stay, and transportation to and from the concert venue.  Sounds like the perfect way to end the summer!  Click here to enter.

What To Pack For Spring Break

9 Mar

Spring break is that wonderful time of year where you get to escape the pre-summer doldrums and take off for a week to some exotic getaway. It’s also the perfect time to bust out those warm weather clothes you’ve been dying to wear all winter long. Here’s a list of must-pack items for your springtime getaway.

• Shoe Shoo-In – No one wants to carry luggage that’s weighed down by ten pairs of shoes. Instead, opt for footwear like our Bunny clog that transitions from days out in the sun to dancing the night away. This trendy and laid back clog silhouette is the perfect match for a pair of cute cut-off shorts and also slips on and off with the greatest of ease at airport security.

• Layer It On – Since it’s impossible to bring all the clothes in your closet, try packing pieces that are simple to layer and that can easily create new looks each day. It also never hurts to have extra layers on hand for unpredictable weather conditions. For women, try our Jean Jacket in Mid Manhattan, it looks cool and casual paired over a dress and can effortlessly be layered with a sweatershirt or lightweight jacket for cool nights on the beach. Guys, throw on our Zip Hoodie for a quick layer over a button down or graphic tee.

• Prepare For Takeoff – Make your journey as pleasant as possible with comfortable and fashionable travel gear that won’t leave you looking like a slob. Ladies, try our Cropped Straight Leg in Lightweight Twill made from a 7.7 oz. super-stretch twill fabric which will always keep you feeling (airport) runway ready. And guys, be ready to sit poolside the second you land by outfitting yourself in a pair of our functional yet trendy 100% cotton Cargo Shorts.

• Find Some Shade – Last, but certainly not least, you’re not traveling in true jet setter style if you’re not rocking some sweet sunnies. Protect your peeps from tropical rays with our plastic Echo sunglasses which come in four sleek colors for a variety of styling options. Oversized Starbucks cup not included.

Safe travels everyone!

Our Mini Shopping Guide —5 Hot Boutiques In Vegas

Contrary to popular belief, there’s way more to spend your money on in Vegas than the slots (or, ahem, strippers). For all you fashionable folks out there, we’ve scratched beneath the glitzy surface to find some of the best spots for you to scour the next time your in Sin City.

Nothing says Vegas quite like Liberace, and the museum stocked with the flashy pianist’s costumes, cars, jewelry and lavish pianos is a must-see. Take home a piece of the action at the store, where you can stock up on paraphernalia, ranging from cards, books, and CDs to clothing and accessories, like the blingtastic Swarovski-crystal emblazoned Piano Ring ($69.95).

3. Bauman Rare Books:

Getting cultured, in Vegas? You betcha! Open over 12 hours a day, seven days a week, we’re pretty sure the devoted bookworm can even unearth a guide on to how cash in big at the casinos.

We completely understand what it’s like to crave some 7 action, so we opened up a second store at Vegas’ premier shopping destination, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. The 3,500-square-foot boutique provides a sleek, comfortable shopping experience, where you’ll be greeted with Zebrano wood finishes, white Italian stone tables and inviting furniture as you browse through the latest fall offerings for men and women. Prices start at $150 for a pair of jeans to $900 for outerwear and accessories.

5. Tourneau Time Dome:

In Vegas, one often faces the dilemma of too much to do, too little time. The solution? Splurge and buy yourself a fabulous watch – it won’t add more hours to the day, but at least you’ll be flashing some serious wrist candy as you roll those dice. The Tourneau Time Dome is worth a visit not only for the 8,000+ watch styles on offer from brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Breitling, Cartier, Omega and Tag Heuer, to name a few, but also for the sheer magnitude of the store itself. Entering the 17,000-square-foot watch arena is a museum-worthy experience (no wonder it was awarded the honor of “world’s largest watch store” by the Guinness Book of World Records).
