Spring Is In The Air!

9 Feb

After months of blistering cold weather across most of the country, there’s finally a light at the end of the wintery tunnel. The fashion world is buzzing about spring fashion, and we’re so excited to debut our latest spring styles. Our spring 2011 collection evokes a California lifestyle that revolves around casual sophistication and effortless style. This season’s ad campaign imagery showcases our rich denim-lifestyle by highlighting the collection’s simplicity of material and form. Take a peek at a few behind the scenes shots from our spring 2011 campaign shot by world renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. We brought on Creative Director Richard Christiansen from Chandelier Creative to assemble a team of fashion all-stars including stylist Patti Wilson, hair stylist Paul Hanlon, and make-up artist Tom Pecheux. Shot at a private home in Malibu overlooking Zuma Beach and the Pacific Ocean, our ad campaign features the beautiful all-American model Angela Lindvall accompanied by the approachably handsome Sam Webb. Get ready for spring folks, it’s heatin’ up!

Visit Us On Retail Therapy

20 Jan

As if you needed another reason to log on Facebook, 7 For All Mankind and PopSugar have teamed up to create the first denim based in-game store for the popular social online game Retail Therapy.  Using the same design aesthetic and architectural elements of our physical retail stores, the 7 For All Mankind in-game store gives players the opportunity to fill the racks of their virtual fashion boutique with merchandise from our spring 2011 collection.  Here’s how it works: players begin with an empty boutique and earn virtual money by selling product from participating retailers.  The more product a player sells the more opportunities they get to make improvements to their boutique and turn it into the boutique of their wildest (virtual) dreams.  The products sold in the game are replicas of real product that designers carry in their actual stores.  It’s kind of like playing virtual paper dolls, complete with cartoon avatars that players can dress up and style.  Because we are the first denim brand to have our own in-game store – and because the game is sooo addictive, we’re pretty stoked about our venture into the virtual fashion world.  Click here to play now!

Ahoy! Pirates And More At Long Island’s Oyster Festival

15 Oct

We’ve already demonstrated our love for Lobsters, so now we’re giving their marine friends, the oysters, a little attention. This weekend, the mollusks take center stage for the Oyster Festival, the East Coast’s largest waterfront event, in downtown Oyster Bay. On tap? Live entertainment, Tall Ships, local artisans, pirate shows, rides, and, but of course, the iconic oyster eating and shucking contest. Plus, the food court will be serving dozens of unique oysters, clams and other seafood concoctions from a clutch of culinary pros. And, you can ditch the eating shame cycle at home—all of the profits from the event fund Rotary Rides, a charity that provides door-to-doctor service to disabled residents needing transportation.
Saturday October 16, and Sunday, October 17, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the website here.

Bottoms Up! The New Trouser Tops Our Shopping List For Fall

13 Sep

For 10 years, we’ve been perfecting the art of the jean, so we think that our long denim education will serve us well in our newest fixation for fall: The Trouser (the star of the show for FNO). But not just one trouser. We’ve got cool cuts for every girl and every shape, from low-rise to a tailored wide-leg. And whether you’re doing some Sunday lounging or have a date with a dirty martini, we’ve got you covered—with over 14 styles, there’s no occasion where you can’t wear our trousers.

Here are three pairs fashioned for heavy rotation this fall (from left).

1. Georgia Trouser: We’re in love with the high-waist and super wide-leg fit (so ’70s in a good way!).

2. Miller Trouser: We think this sexy low-rise pair will take the top-spot in your closet for Date Night.

3. Pleated Trouser: We’re taking our new 4-pocket trouser and adding tailored front pleating, a double-buttoned closure, and a rolled hem for a cutting-edge look we think will work great in the boardroom or the bar.

The Wait Is Over! 7’s Full Fall Campaign Video Is Here

7 Sep

Back when the Denim Dossier launched, we shared a sneak-peek of our fall/winter behind-the-scenes campaign video. If you liked what you saw, you’ll love the full-length version, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Models Masha and Julian shine—but the short flick also reveals the actual sweat that goes into the finished product. Still looks like a fun time though…did we mention the models?
